Are walk-ins welcome?

Small and straightforward tattoos can be completed on the same day without an appointment, depending on the artist’s availability. For more elaborate projects, we recommend booking an appointment for a consultation in advance.

How do custom designs work?

Custom tattoo designs are usually prepared either a few days before the appointment or drawn freehand on the day, depending on each artist’s preferences. Each artist has a busy work schedule on drawing and projects preparation, so unless it is pre-agreed, drawings are not shown until the day of the first appointment. Please feel free to speak to your artist if you would prefer to see the design beforehand. Please remember, not all tattoo artists offer this service, and it is at their discretion.

Can I ask for alterations and changes to my custom design?

If a client wants to request modifications on a project, you must do so in person on the appointment day. The artist can make the most minor changes on the spot.

Please be aware it is the client’s responsibility to choose the right artist for their tattoo before leaving a deposit. If necessary, we can arrange for more than one consultation to ensure that you are entirely happy and confident with the artist of your choice.

If you change your mind or wish to make significant modifications to your design, resulting in new artwork which is different from the original idea, or if you want to change artists, you will need to pay a new deposit.

Aftercare

The artist has finished my tattoo. What is the aftercare?

Tattoo aftercare begins at the tattoo parlor. Once the tattoo session is finished the artist will apply a thin layer of Vaseline or moisturizer over the entire area and cover it with plastic wrap or bandage. This should stay on for at least 2 hours. This covering protects the open skin from bacteria, sunlight, and from rubbing against clothing.

At home:

Wash your hands, then in a clean environment, remove the covering. The tattoo should be washed with soap and warm water. Please avoid anything with strong fragrances; milder is always better.

After washing, you should pat the skin dry with a clean paper towel and allow it to air-dry for up to 1 hour. When the area is completely dry, apply a thin layer of moisturizer to the tattoo but leave it uncovered to allow the skin to breathe. Then, at bedtime, the fresh tattoo must be covered with a plastic film. Repeat daily, always keep your new tattoo clean.

After the third day:

Gently apply some light moisturizer lotion – baseline dry skin or cocoa butter – once a day. Apply a thin layer as your skin needs to be able to breathe. Your new tattoo will heal naturally on its own.

Keep your tattoo clean. We advise avoiding swimming, sunbathing or fake tan for at least ten days.

Don’t wear tight clothing over your tattoo that can cause friction. Always keep in mind that your skin is desperate for fresh air to recover.

Don’t pick scabs while it is healing, be patient and treat your tattoo with love that is the most significant aftercare.

We advise keeping your tattoo moisturized for at least two weeks. A few weeks of care and attention is worthwhile for something that will make you proud and happy for years to come. The better you care for your tattoo now, the brighter and more stunning the outcome will be.

How should I look after my new tattoo?

Tattoo aftercare begins at the tattoo parlor. Once the tattoo session is finished, the artist will apply a thin layer of Vaseline or moisturizer over the entire area and cover it with plastic wrap or a bandage. This bandage should stay on for at least 2 hours. The covering protects the open skin from bacteria, sunlight, and from rubbing against clothing.

How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

Generally, it will look healed within 2-3 weeks. However, it could appear slightly shiny for a while longer. The skin below the surface layers usually takes longer to recover, sometimes up to 2-4 months.

When can I go back to the gym and exercise?

Exercise should be fine after 24 hours unless you experience discomfort. We recommend not doing any activity that involves stretching the freshly tattooed skin. Preferably, try to exercise the top body if your tattoo was on your lower body and vice versa. Never engage with cardio activity like jogging the day after your appointment, especially if your fresh tattoo is on the lower body.

Following the recommended aftercare will promote the best healing of your tattoo.
